Vaughn is a Chartered Accountant and holds the Certified Financial Planner, Registered Financial Planner, and Trust and Estate Practitioner designations.
Vaughn founded JV in 2001 after previous careers with an international accounting firm, and as a Regional Manager of a national financial planning firm. Recognizing the need for more personalized service than is typically available from large institutions led Vaughn to create an independent wealth management firm that offers comprehensive and unbiased financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients.
Vaughn has developed a unique skill set by combining his training and experience as both an accountant and a financial planner. Clients value his ability to coordinate sophisticated tax, estate, and business planning strategies with their other professional advisors and to communicate these strategies in a straightforward and understandable manner.
The most interesting places that Vaughn has ever visited are the Galapagos Islands and Jordan.
Vaughn, his wife, and two adult children all live in Edmonton. He enjoys travelling to exotic destinations, playing golf and camping.
