Thom obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MacEwan University and holds Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Investment Manager, and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute designations.
Since joining the financial industry in 2006, Thom has taken on many roles, including owning his own independent financial planning business before joining JV. He has developed a broad knowledge base in all aspects of financial planning and specializes in investment and retirement planning. Thom focuses on assisting clients in every stage of the financial planning process while keeping their long-term goals in clear view. Clients value his personalized approach, attention to detail, and clear communication.
Thom attended French immersion from kindergarten right through high school and graduated with a bilingual diploma.
Thom lives in Sherwood Park with his wife, son, and daughter. He enjoys supporting his kids in their competitive dancing, family ski/snowboard days, and cheering on the Oilers!
